Massacre In Newtown

A people's tranquility rattled
Restless psychotic reverie
Rage poured on pure innocence
Angelic wailing blistering  the peaceful walls of Sandy Hook
As heroic teachers struggle to protect their raped innocence


Then, the heavy fall from a cliff!
Steeper than anticipated-Twenty seven!
Robbing us of minds untapped
A nation flooded with great dolour
A people overwhelmed with emotions

A world perplexed by man's extreme insanity
A civilization unrevised
Still clinging to triggers because their forebears said so
Rudimentary claims to dream wars justified two centuries ago
In ammendments relegated by a constantly evolving world

A culture glorifying pseudo-heroism
Pegged to virtual might
Even in the midst of intellectual abundance
Allowing psychopaths to play with precious dangerous toys
Inflicting pain on a generation's offspring

Arise from your shambles, Newtown!
Stronger than never before
Beating a pathway for a country's awakened pysche
Hoping to deconstruct an archaic cultural paradigm
Resulting in these violent cycles, unending.
