The recent reaction by Cameroons Minister of propaganda, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, castigating the French Press for highlighting the lavish lifestyle of Biya, is a desperate attempt to quench fire with fuel.
The lavish lifestyle of the Biyas and cronies is no news to the impoverished Cameroonian people. And as he{Biya} is quoted to have said when he was quizzed on the embezzlement of public funds: " Ou sont les preuves?
These are the same proofs Issa Tchiroma Bakary is asking Cameroonians about. How did they start getting the proofs which have led some of Biya's embezzlers to Kondengui prison?
The fight this time to clean the 'dirty' image of Biya is 'meticulous,' not because the facts are not known, but because the uncovering of the mess is coming from his own backyard- the ever-trusting French. His propaganda machinery manned by Tchiroma Bakary has changed tactics: 'Letting another French journalist react on the allegations, emphasizing journalistic ethics and dispelling the reports on Biya's plans for a lavish vacation, then Tchiroma comes in with his quotes'. Your guess on who is footing the bills of this French journalist , is as good as mine

Cameroonians need no more proofs from whoever, to attest to the fact that their ruler together with his autocratic clique have continuously siphoned their commonwealth for their personal aggrandizement , for more than a quarter century now. Cameroonians feel and experience the so-called proofs through their perpetual daily sufferings.
No one can deny Biya's rights to his holidays. He should even take an eternal vacation. But, if he has to spend almost one million Euros {approximately 650 million Francs CFA} in 3 weeks, then every Cameroonian has a right to agitate forcefully.
A country afloat with revenues from oil resources,timber products, mineral deposits, cash crops etc has been forced deep into the abyss of poverty by a spendthrift ruler who has never distinguished public funds from private ones. a ruler whose accountability with respect to his fiscal obligations is non-existent. a ruler who has turned a once economical buoyant nation into serfdom, constantly milking its resources to feed his egoistic instincts.
Remember that the last victim of 'Operation Epervier' will also lodge at stinky Kondengui- far from the cozy confines of five star hotel L’Hermitage in La Baule -France
A withered couple waiting to rot in hell after sending innocent Cameroonians early to their graves because of their extravagant and corrupt lifestyle. Where on earth can a beggar nation like Cameroon provide that kind of money to its leader to squander? 800 thousand Euros in 3 weeks?
