There is no clear-cut difference between African dictators and Military
rulers. All of them either seized power conventionally or
unconventionally; some before they stepped into power, others, during
their endless reign.

In one fell swoop, most of the top politicians of this impoverished
West African country surrendered themselves to the cadre of junior
officers who began seizing power Tuesday after the death of the
country's longstanding ruler. The army's rank-and-file seemed to be
lining up behind the junior officers. And the coup leaders swiftly
replaced governors with military commanders.
"We are at your disposal," the country's prime minister said in a live radio address.
Though the young officers essentially shoved aside Guinea's civilian
leadership at gunpoint, there was not a lot of complaining among
the populace.

A recent decree by Cameroun's ruler, Paul Biya renamed the ten
provinces of that nation. They will henceforth be called regions. This
decree is a follow up of the amendment of the 1972 constitution adopted
in 1996; which was later manipulated in 2008.
The so called 1996
constitution stipulates the creation of regions, which are suppose to
be semi-autonomous. It has taken 12 years to name those regions, and
it will surely take another 12 years to make them semi- autonomous.

Anytime I condemn policemen or military officers for gunning down unarmed protesters , I
do so out of my basic respect for human life and nothing more. The
recent events in Greece, where the killing of a protester has caused
government panic, an apology as well as prosecution of the police
officer concerned, has pushed me to do some research on police ethics and conduct
vis a vis their role of protecting citizens.

Nothing is impossible in Cameroun or Is it that the end of the time is near?
For thieves to attack a National police Head Quarters successfully is a premier worthy for the Records. It's like an Imam conducting a pontifical high mass at St Peter's square in Rome on Christmas day or The Pope leading a Friday prayers in Mecca during The Hajj.
Don't ask me what happened to the security in the Security head quarters or is it insecurity in an insecure head quarters? They surely must have been busy taking bribes, assassinating unarmed citizens, sleeping or just taking protective cover during the whole robbery. 'Remarkable' cowards!!!
Below is the story as reported by the government controlled website www.crtv.cm

The little 4 year old Bright from The Cameroons has been diagnosed with a rare kind of orbital tumor. A humanitarian organisation African Women's Development Foundation(AWDF)** has already taken the lead in this little boy's cause. The plan is to relocated him to the United States of America where treatment is suppose to begin. But the dollars have to come in to cover the bills for such a giant medical operation. Therefore, as the tears trickle as we read this story, let's remember to check out our wallets or credit cards etc.
