Former ruler of Cameroun- Amadou Ahidjo's resignation from power on
November 4, twenty six years ago, coincides with the day Americans go
to the polls this year-an election for change!
Two days after Ahidjo's surprising resignation, that is, on November 6 , Paul Biya was hastily ushered to power.
Today he or his spirit still rules this country!
More than a quarter of a century rule is a long time for any human being to be at the helm of a nation, even if the nation hasn't been by him. This may be the time when his almighty may just be in the limbo of his rule, getting ready to correct his failures and faults as he prepares to continue after 2011 to perfection.
We will expect his almighty to celebrate his 26th year in power with pomp and fanfare either in Yaounde or Mvomeka'a.
We expect his henchmen to have already started siphoning the people's money to waste on this event, and we hope that they will not triple the budget for unforeseen contingencies.
We expect motions of support not of sympathy to come in from all nooks and crannies of the Great Triangle, to wish his almighty a long life and prosperity, as if he hasn't had enough yet.
We expect his almighty to give firm directives to his henchmen on how they should prepare for the coming of Papa for Roma in March, even if he may be too late to offer him the sacrament of confession.
We expect the Epervier Embezzlement teams of Kondengui and New Bell to join in the November 6 celebrations this year, not because they will be released immediately, but because they will feel a glimmer of false hope knowing that their chief warder may be out partying with demons beyond.
We expect the people of Ikwerri, the people of Wabane, the people of Akwaya, the people of Nguelemendouka etc to join massively in the November 6 celebrations of 26 years of neglect.
We expect them to celebrate the hope of hoping to graduate from un-potable water, enclave, empty dispensary shelves, un-sheltered un-electrified cubicles, un-built schools, and general exemplary poverty.
We expect the Alhajis from the North, the Bulu gurus from the South to fight over who will cut the anniversary cake on his behalf while quislings from the Southern Cameroonian Bamola Republic ready their hands for clapping as usual.
We may expect blackout on November 6 even before they decide to light the anniversary candles that are normally expected to be blown out .
We will expect tears of joy and laughs of sorrow as the chief usher beckons his almighty into The Almighty's organised November 6 celebration of judgement.
NebaFuh,
Though I sometimes detest some of the radical and sentimental aspects of your political views, I still believe you're an undiscovered genius.
